I found the keynotes, breakout sessions, and networking both highly valuable and engaging. It is worth attending, if for the Canadian context alone.
If you want to be number one, go to SEMM!
The SEMM Forum is one of the better run events of its kind. You can expect a great deal of interaction between conference participants and a strong mix of speakers that address the key issues in enrolment management and marketing.
This was a really great conference. All Canadian content, lots of networking and I came away with so many ideas that I can implement at my own institution.
SEMM is a great opportunity to network, learn, and engage with the professionals responsible for the recruitment, admission, and retention of students. Attending SEMM is essential for staying up-to-date with the most recent trends and best practices being implemented across the country.
What I found really valuable about the SEMM Forum is that the content is all Canadian. This means that a lot more of the learnings are directly applicable to the work we do.
This was a wonderful first-time experience. My role is not in recruitment, student engagement, or admissions. I work in a web presence role in School of Health Sciences. Much of the content I learned will help in moving us forward. I will be sharing with my leadership team and all of this will help enable us to build strategies. Thanks!
The information presented was relevant to a wide range of post-secondary administrators. This is extremely important as communication between all levels of administration such as recruitment, marketing, student services, admissions and all other facets is needed in recruitment, retention and graduation initiatives.
Attending SEMM 2018 exceeded my expectations. I walked away with new knowledge that I am already working on applying to existing and future projects. Networking was another highlight and equally as valuable as the workshops themselves. Can’t wait for next year!
This day was extremely valuable. A great chance to connect with Canadian enrolment management staff and share ideas.
